Sitting Still Isn't My Forte

I’ve never been very good at sitting still - it’s just not in me.
I’ve spent years skiing, kayaking, sailing, weightlifting… and somehow still end up saying yes to anything that sounds even remotely like an adventure.
Hiking, paddleboarding, self-defense, MMA... I am usually the first to jump and try something new.
It’s less about what I’m doing and more about being in it. That’s when I feel most like myself.

I tend to notice things - big and small.
The way light hits a space, movement most people walk past, small details that completely change how something feels.
I’m always stopping mid-walk or doubling back because something caught my attention.
Photography just became a way to hold onto those moments - not everything, just the ones worth going back for.

I Notice Things -
Big & Small

I've Grown Up Everywhere

I moved every 1–4 years growing up, which meant new schools, new people, and learning how to start over again… a lot.
When everything around you keeps changing, you learn pretty quickly to just be yourself and to be comfortable in that.
That made it easier to connect with people from all kinds of backgrounds and adapt to wherever I landed.
For me, “home” has never really been about a place - it’s about the people and the things that matter most.

The Ones I Love

The ones closest to me are a big part of my world.
My husband and I met during my junior year of college, and he somehow manages to balance out my crazy energy.
My parents, after 37 years of being told where to go, are now traveling the world on their own terms - while my sister chose the opposite, building her life right here in Washington.
And then there are my dogs, Light and Rem, who very confidently run the house. Light is a beagle and full-time snack enthusiast, and Rem is our rescue and my constant sidekick.
I wouldn't have it any other way.

We Built a House... & Learned A Lot

In 2021, right in the middle of the pandemic, my husband told me to get in the car—we were going on an adventure.

We pulled up to a raw piece of land, still full of trees and shrubs, and started walking it.

The lake, the privacy, the potential… it was one of those “wow” moments. We left, and neither of us could stop thinking about it.
Over the next 2.5 years, we built a home from the ground up—our first time going through the process.
It was exciting, overwhelming, and full of decisions we didn’t even know existed.

What kind of roof? Which siding? How should this space flow? What’s worth spending more on now vs later?

It turns out… there’s a lot more that goes into a home than most people ever see.

I Like Understanding How Things Work

We didn’t just go through the process - we got really involved.

I went down a lot of rabbit holes most people don’t think twice about. Things like how materials hold up over time, how water moves around a property, and what actually impacts the longevity of a home versus what just looks good on the surface.
I tend to ask a lot of “why does this work this way?” questions, and I don’t really let them go until I understand the answer.

There were plenty of moments where we realized just how much is happening behind the scenes and how easy it is to miss if you don’t know what to look for.

Now I can’t unsee it. I still walk through homes thinking about what’s happening behind the walls, how everything comes together, and what it means long-term.

What Matters to Me

Giving Back to the Military Community

Growing up in a military family shaped a lot of how I see the world.
It’s a community I’ve always felt connected to, and one I care deeply about supporting.
I try to give back where I can through organizations like Toys for Tots, the Semper Fi Fund, Team RWB, the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, and others.
It’s a small way to stay connected to something that’s shaped my life.
Advocating for Physical & Mental Wellness

Health has become something I’m really intentional about, shaped by my own experiences over time.
Chronic pain pushed me to reanalyze my physical fitness, family health challenges sparked my interest in nutrition, and my ADHD helped me better understand how I think and function day-to-day.
It’s less about perfection and more about building something that feels sustainable long-term.
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a bit.
I’ve always believed the best relationships start with actually knowing the person behind everything, and I hope this gave you a feel for me.
1 part adventurer,
1 part nerd,
1 part health nut,
100% me.

Now I’d love to learn the same about you.

Thank You
